The hotel had a very central location in lovely surroundings. The staff were excellent and knew their area. We stayed in a classic queen room with central heating, a coffee/tea maker and a work desk.

We loved the tranquil and beautiful property at Marula Lodge. The swimming pool was a great addition and we spent a relaxing afternoon lounging in the private garden. The owners were friendly and provided excellent tips for nearby restaurants. The honesty fridge was a wonderful touch. we highly recommend Marula Lodge for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

I had a wonderful stay at a guesthouse in a central location. The garden area with a pool was absolutely lovely. The owners were incredibly welcoming and helpful, even going the extra mile to reserve a table for us on New Year's Day evening. The cleanliness of the property was top-notch, and the breakfast served by friendly staff was delicious. Despite the small size of the rooms, the overall experience was great. I highly recommend this guesthouse for its value for money and excellent service.

Very nice old accommodation with magnificent setting right by the Marula Lodge, the french style restaurant, and Swellendam. Very good breakfasts with nice coffee and peanut butter, as for instance provided by the affable staff.
